Question 4 (2003) - League of Nations.

Study Sources A and B and then answer all the questions which follow.

Source A: A comment on the formation of the League of Nations 1920.

Source B: The importance of nations working together.

I can predict with absolute certainty that within another generation there will be another world war if the nations of the world do not work together to prevent it.

(c) Describe how the organisation of the League of Nations was meant to keep peace.

(d) Which was more important as a reason for the failure of the League of Nations

* its handling of the Abyssinian Crisis 1935-6.
